About AfterNine

AfterNine came out of a pretty ordinary complaint: existing directories made everyone work too hard. Providers had to fight clunky tools and slow onboarding. Clients had to wade through stale listings, loud ads, and review systems that often rewarded drama more than good judgment.

We wanted to put providers' in-person services back at the center. A profile should make it easy to understand who someone is, what they offer, where they work, and how to approach them respectfully.

We also wanted new providers to be able to join quickly. Verification and safety checks matter, but they should not become a mysterious waiting room. The smoother the onboarding, the faster great providers can meet the clients who are already looking for them.

We wanted to surface excellent providers without turning reviews into the whole game. Reviews can be noisy, weaponized, or just plain weird. AfterNine is built to help strong profiles, thoughtful presentation, fresh activity, and provider-controlled information do more of the talking.

We are a small team based out of Sweden, a free-speech haven, with members working from different parts of the world.

Discretion is our default. We collect the minimum we need to operate the service and abide by Swedish law, with zero tolerance for content or usage involving minors.

We also care about presentation. A provider profile should feel attractive, polished, and personal enough to match the taste of the clients it is trying to reach. Good design is not decoration here; it is part of making the work legible, dignified, and easier to navigate.

• Discretion. Private data stays private, and you are in complete control of what your profile shares.
• Security. Our architecture is designed to minimize the confidential data we hold, and to securely separate sensitive systems among disparate hosting providers so data cannot be easily reconstructed from one place.
• No third-party ads or trackers. Your profile is not bait for someone else's retargeting pixel.
• Independence. We're privately funded and not for sale. Decisions get made by the people who run the product.
