I grew up between the Appalachian Mountains and the Midwest. I've crossed rivers in Patagonia and watched hot air balloons rise over New Mexico at 4am. I came of age as the girl who felt everything deeply and apologized for none of it. I still am, honestly - just with better wine and fewer illusions.
