Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what AfterNine collects, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices you have. We do not sell any information you provide us to third parties.

01

Scope and acceptance

AfterNine ("AfterNine", "we", "us", or "our") operates an adult-oriented directory, profile, messaging, and advertising platform. This policy applies when you visit the website, create an account, submit a provider application, publish a profile or ad, send messages, purchase credits, use paid features, or contact us.

By using AfterNine, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not want your information handled as described here, do not use the platform.

02

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us, information created through your use of the platform, and limited information from vendors that help us operate AfterNine.

  • Account information, such as email address, username, password hash, role, authentication settings, and account status.
  • Profile and ad information, such as display name, biography, photos, videos, city, services, rates, links, contact methods, screening preferences, and visibility settings.
  • Communications and support information, such as messages between users, reports, DMCA notices, contact form submissions, and emails with us.
  • Billing information, such as credit purchases, subscription plan, ledger entries, payment reference IDs, chargeback status, and processor metadata. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, search or filter activity, timestamps, cookie data, and security logs.
  • Information other users or third parties provide, such as reports about a profile, a referral, a dispute, or an abuse complaint.
03

Verification documents

Provider verification may require government ID images, liveness captures, selfies, date of birth, country, document type, and review results. We use this information only to verify age, identity, authenticity, account integrity, and compliance with our policies.

After deletion, we may keep a limited verification record: whether the check passed or failed, timestamps, age-at-check or date-of-birth confirmation, document type, country, risk flags, and audit metadata needed for safety, fraud prevention, support, and legal compliance. We do not use verification documents for advertising or sell them to anyone.

04

How we use information

We use personal information to operate, secure, and improve AfterNine. That includes:

  • Creating accounts, authenticating users, sending verification emails, and managing MFA or passkeys.
  • Reviewing provider applications, verifying age and identity, moderating profiles, and enforcing policies.
  • Displaying public profile and ad content according to your settings.
  • Delivering messages, favorites, screening tools, reports, notifications, and support responses.
  • Processing platform-credit purchases, subscription changes, refunds, chargebacks, taxes, and ledger records.
  • Detecting spam, scams, fraud, abuse, prohibited content, account compromise, and other safety issues.
  • Maintaining logs, analytics, uptime, debugging, product research, and aggregate reporting.
  • Complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests or emergencies.
05

Sharing and no sale

Some information is shared because the platform cannot function otherwise. Public profile and ad content is visible to visitors according to your publication settings. Messages are visible to the participants in the thread and to our moderation team when needed for safety, support, or abuse review.

We may disclose information to trusted service providers that process it for us, such as hosting, storage, email delivery, payments, identity verification, analytics, security, moderation, customer support, and legal or accounting services. These providers may use the information only to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law.

We may also disclose information when you direct us to, when needed to complete a transaction you requested, in connection with a merger or sale of the business, to comply with law or legal process, to protect the rights and safety of AfterNine or others, or to investigate fraud, abuse, trafficking, exploitation, or other illegal activity.

06

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect sessions, remember age-gate acknowledgement, complete multi-step flows, prevent abuse, understand usage, and diagnose errors.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers or cross-site behavioral advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking essential cookies may prevent login, verification, billing, or account features from working.

07

Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason we collected it.

  • Verification documents and verification selfies are deleted after verification completes.
  • Active account, profile, ad, billing, and message records are kept while your account is active or while needed to provide the service.
  • If you delete your account, public profile and ad content is removed from public view and underlying records are deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep them for legal, tax, billing, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute, audit, or abuse-reporting reasons.
  • Security logs, reports, payment records, support conversations, and moderation records may be retained longer where necessary to protect users, comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our Terms.
08

Your choices and rights

You can update much of your account and profile information from inside the platform. You can also close your account, restrict public content by hiding or deleting it, and opt out of non-essential marketing emails by using the unsubscribe instructions or contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal information. California residents may have rights under state privacy law, including the right to know, delete, correct, limit certain uses, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To make a privacy request, email privacy@afternine.net. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity before completing the request.

09

Security

We use technical and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal information, including password hashing, session controls, TLS in production, optional MFA, optional passkeys, access controls, logging, and vendor review. Payment card data is handled by payment providers rather than stored by AfterNine.

No website, network, or storage system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. If you believe your account or personal information has been compromised, change your password and contact security@afternine.net.

10

Transfers, minors and links

AfterNine and our vendors may process information in countries other than where you live. When required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual commitments designed to protect personal information.

AfterNine is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 or under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, report it immediately through Report Abuse.

The platform may contain links to websites or services we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and you should review their policies before providing information to them.

11

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as our platform, vendors, practices, or legal obligations change. When changes are material, we will try to provide notice by email, in-account notice, or a notice on the platform. Your continued use of AfterNine after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.

Questions, privacy requests, or complaints can be sent to privacy@afternine.net. Security concerns should go to security@afternine.net. Legal notices should go to legal@afternine.net.
